Based on the basic situation of the country scientifically understanding socialist democracy of our country

中国需要民主 ,但只能发展社会主义民主。民主的实现要有系统的保障机制 ,我国民主是通过“四大制度”来保障和实现的。对目前我国民主建设中存在的问题要有正确的认识 :既要看到社会主义民主在本质上优于资本主义民主 ,坚定对社会主义民主发展的信心 ,又要看到社会主义初级阶段特定的经济、政治和文化条件制约了我国民主的发展 ,发展民主 ,不能脱离实际 。

China is in need of democracy, though we must develop socialist democracy. An ensuring system is needed to realize democracy. Democracy in our country is made true with 'four systems'. The current problems with democratic construction in our country must be properly understood. We must not only recognize the fact that socialist democracy is superior to capitalist democracy in nature, be confident in the development of socialist democracy, but also see the limit of its development due to the economic, political and cultural conditions on the preliminary stage of socialist construction. The development of democracy should be promoted proctically not willingly.
