以毛泽东为核心的第一代中央领导集体论述了有中国特色的社会主义立法原则 ,以邓小平为核心的第二代中央领导集体形成了有中国特色社会主义的法制理论 ,以江泽民为核心的第三代中央领导集体提出了建设社会主义法治国家的基本方略。三代领导人在不同的历史时期对社会主义法制理论作出了不同的历史贡献。

The first generation of central leadership with Mao Zedong as the kernel leader expounded the socialist legislative principles with Chinese characteristics. The second generation of central leadership with Deng Xiaoping as the kernel leader came up with socialist legislative theories and the third generation of central leadership with Jiang Zeming as the kernel leader raised the basic strategies of constructing a socialist contury ruled by law. Three generations of leaders made different historical contributions to socialist legislative theories at different historical periods.
