摘要
随着我国对外开放的进一步深入和扩大,我国英语教学中“费时较多,效益偏低”的现象也日益突出。本文指出了一些大学英语教学中存在的问题,并提出造成大学英语教学未能向社会输送出合格人才的一个重要原因是:在大学英语教学过程中,人们往往忽略了对学生英美文化意识即客体文化意识的培养。
With the deepening and widening of our country's opening and reform policy,it is more and more clear that our English teaching is“time—consuming but insufficient”.After the discussion of problems in college English teaching,this paper points out that one key reason for the failure to train qualified talents for our society is that teachers are most like- ly to neglect developing students' awareness of British and American cultures,i,e,the ob- ject culture,in the course of teaching.
