中指代词是汉语方言迥然有别于普通话的特殊语法现象 ,讨论这一现象对于我们加深对现代汉语 (包括汉语方言 )甚至古代汉语的认识 ,都不无价值。典型黄冈方言区的指示代词是三分的 ,西南沿江地带是二分的。黄冈方言中指代词有“姐”系和“绝”系两种形式 ,前者可用于对举指别、强调程度 ,多在句中充当某一句法成分 ,也可以单用 ;后者只用于指别处所 ,必须单用。
Medius pronoun is a special grammatical phenomenon in Chinese dialect,which is distinct from Putonghua (common speech of the Chinese language), thus it is of much value to discuss such a phenomenon so as to deepen our understanding of modern Chinese--including Chinese dialects and even ancient Chinese. The typical medius pronouns in Huanggang dialect speech community are of three types while those in the southwest along the Yangtze River are of two types. There are two forms of medius pronouns in Huanggang dialect: 'jie' form and 'jue' form. Referring to gender and intensity, the 'jie' form usually serves as a grammatical element in a sentence and can be used alone as well. The 'jue' form indicates place and must be used singly.
