On 27 June,2019,the CCDI’s website announced the numbers of fugitives returned to China from 2014 to May 2019.The office in charge of fugitive repatriation and asset recovery under China’s central anticorruption coordination group was established just five years ago.In the five years,China has brought a total of 5,974 fugitives back from more than 120 countries and regions,including 1,425 party members and state functionaries,and retrieved stolen assets worth of 14.248 billion yuan.
