元代回回人与中西文化交流

Huihui People in the Yuan Dynasty and Cultural Communication Between China and the West

蒙古人西征曾给阿拉伯及中亚伊斯兰文明带来灾难性毁灭 ,同时打开了中西文化交流的通道。蒙元时期大量穆斯林入华 ,带来了阿拉伯伊斯兰地区先进的科技文化 ,包括天文历算、医学、数学、几何学、地理学、化学等方面科学技术 ,极大地丰富和发展了中华文化宝库。同时中国先进的管理经验、火药武器、印刷术也传入阿拉伯地区 ,其中回回人在元代中西文化交流中扮演了重要角色。

The Mongolian conquest to the west brought the catastrophic destruction to Arabian and Middle Asian Islamic civilization, and time opened the passageway of cultural communication between China and the West at the same. In the Yuan Dynasty of Mongolian, a great number of Moslems came into China and brought advanced technology and culture, such as astronomical almanac, medicine, mathematics, geometry, geography and chemistry, which greatly enriched and developed Chinese cultural treasury. Meanwhile, Chinese advanced managerial experiences, gunpowder weapons and printing spread into Arabian area. Huihui People played an important role of Cultural Communication Between China and the West in the Yuan Dynasty.
