试析刘勰历史观的思想源流与局限性

《文心雕龙》中的许多思想超越了他之前和同时期的许多文论家,《文心雕龙·史传》篇集中体现了刘勰的历史观,其较为成体系历史观亦达到了前所未有的高度。在《史传》篇中,刘勰评价了自古以来的历代史书,总结了史传创作中常见的问题,并且从史家心态与创作技巧方面给予理论性的指导。但同时他的评价显得不甚全面同时也有失客观。追根溯源,由于社会思潮以及个人价值观的缘故,导致了他对历史的看法有着时代的局限。即使如此,刘勰对历史及史书编修的思考依然有着宝贵价值。

Tracing back to the source, his limitations of history view result in social trends of thought and personal values. Even so, Liu Xie’s thinking on the writings of History Biography and the history view are still very valuable.
