On Teaching Ancient Chinese to Foreign Students

讨论留学生古代汉语课的教学目的、教学内容和教学方法。对三部针对留学生的古代汉语教材进行定量分析,在此基础上探讨适合留学生使用的理想的古代汉语教材的编写思路,并论述对留学生古代汉语教学目的、教学方法的看法。

The paper discusses mainly the teaching purpose, teaching material and teaching methods of teaching ancient Chinese to foreign students. The quantitative analysis is made to three existing textbooks of ancient Chinese to foreign students in the paper. Based on the quantitative analysis, the principles of compiling a perfect ancient Chinese textbook suitable for foreign students are discussed. Our own viewpoints about the teaching purpose and teaching methods of teaching ancient Chinese to foreign students is explained as well.
