《唐文粹》"铨择"《文苑英华》说辨析

Is tang wen cui an Abbreviated Version of wen yuan ying hua?

《唐文粹》与《文苑英华》均为编纂于北宋初年的文学总集,后人往往以为《唐文粹》是"铨择"《文苑英华》而成。从两书的编纂时间、过程,编辑体例及入选作品,文字校勘等三个方面证明《唐文粹》"铨择"《文苑英华》之说是一种误解,说明《唐文粹》在后人收集和整理唐代文学和校勘诗文方面的重要文献价值。

Tang Wen Cui and Wen Yuan Ying Hua are both literary anthologies compiled in the early Song Dynasty Later generations usually thought that Tang Wen Cui was an abbreviated version of Wen Yuan Ying Hua. Based on the study on the dates and courses of compilation,styles of compilation and selected works, and collations of the two books, this paper discusses the relationship between them and proves that the opinion that Tang Wen Cui is an abbreviated and selected version of Wen Yuan Ying Hua is a misunderstanding. Then it expounds the important role Tang Wen Cui plays in the collection and regulation of the literary literatures of the Tang Dynasty and the unique value it has in the collation of the poems and other literary works of the Tang Dynasty.
