On East Asian Governments' Functions in Their Economic Pattern Shifting

政府的主导作用被视为东亚国家经济取得成功的重要"秘诀"之一,也被视为东亚模式的主要特征之一。然而,东亚国家政府对经济的过度干预给东亚国家经济发展带来了负面影响。本文探讨了在当今东亚模式进行调整的过程中政府调控职能的转变,即由过去的过度干预转为适度干预。现代市场经济中政府的职能在于培养成熟的市场机制,引导经济持续、快速、健康发展。

The leading role of governement is considered a great secret for the EastAsian countries in their success in economy.It is also considered one of the major features of the East Asian Pattern.However,the over interference of government in economic operations has brought about some negative effect on their economic development.This paper is concerned with the shift of government functions in the course of adjustment of the East Asian Pattern,that is ,a shift from over interference to moderate interference.Government functions in modern market economy lie in the cultivation of of a mature market system and in the assurance of a sustainable,rapid and healthy economic development.
