高校学术性出版物不仅是出版单位的内部事务,而且对发展全社会的高等教育事业至关重要。具体到高校出版物的封面设计方面,我们要体现出如下一些基本设计理念,严肃性、抽象性、简洁性、艺术审美性、实用性。为提高我国高校学术性出版物的封面设计水平,缩小与国外同行的差距,我们应注意如下几个问题,借鉴国外大学出版社的经验;借鉴相近主题出版物的经验;具有广告意识与注重广告效应;确保本社出版物的连续性;改进印刷工艺,完善设计艺术,使图书具有现代感;树立品牌意识,体现图书出版风格。

Academic publications in universities not only are the inner affairs of the presses,but also play the important role in developing the higher education in the whole society.In cover design of the academic publications in universities,some basic ideas should be pointed out ,that is ,seriousness,abstractness,simplicity,aesthetic art and practice.To raise the standard of cover design of the academic publications in universities and narrow down the gap between the staff in foreign countries and us,some following questions should be paid attention to,that is,taking the advantage of experience in foreign university presses,learning the experience of the related themes of publications,building advertising sense and emphasizing the advertising effect ,ensuring the continuity of the publications in the press,raising the publishing skill and perfecting the designing art and making a modernizing sense of books,cultivating the sense of trademark and embodying the publishing style.
