Function Structure of Image and Its Interpretation Study--On the direct proportion between denotation and connotation of image

形象大于思想的根本原因在于 :其一 ,它们的内涵与外延呈现出相反的比例关系 ,即形象呈现为一种正比例关系 ,而概念则为一种反比例关系。概念作为思想的最小单位 ,它的外延越大其内涵就越小 ;而形象的外延越大其内涵也越大 ;其二 ,它们的语义及功能结构不同 ,概念的语义和结构是指称性的和固定的 ,而形象的语义和结构则是非指称性的和动态的 ;其三 ,读者的心理功能不同 ,在解读思想时 ,读者完全受其控制 ,而在感悟形象时则投注了更多的自我经验。

The image is a broader sense than ideology, why?The main reason is as follows: firstly, there is an inverse proportion between denotation and connotation,i.e.image emerges as a direct proportion while concept as an inverse proportion. As concept is the smallest unit of ideology, the broader its denotation is, the narrower its connotation will be. Conversely, the broader image′s denotation is, the narrower image′s connotation will be. Secondly,there is different semantic meaning and function structure between concept and image. Concept is characterized as having steady, denotative semantic meaning and function structure, while image is characterized as having non denotative, dynamic semantic meaning and function structure. Thirdly, there are a variety of psychological functions that can control every reader in unscrambling thoughts.On the other hand,while comprehending image,A reader can put more self experience into his mind.
