Equality and Utilty－the Basic Principle of Modern Civil Morality

作者对人道主义和功利主义进行分析，认为平等和功利是现代公民道德的基本原则，平等与功利是一致的，平等是协调利益关系最基本最有效的原则，也是功利最大化的基础。同时强调，现代社会要求的平等是机会平等，教育机会平等是我国共同富裕的基础；需要就是利益，人民的需要就是人民的利益，承认和尊重个人需要、个人利益是社会利益得以增进和社会得以发展的关键。

The equality and utility are both basic Principles of mordern civil morality, The equality is accordant with the utility. The equality is not only the basiest and most effective principle dealing with the benifical relationship, but also the basis with which the utility could be maximed. The equlity required by morden sociality is the equal opportunity, and the equal educational opportuinity is the basis for the people to be rich together. The need is benefit and the people's need is just people's benefit. It's key to admit and respect the individual need and benefit for the social benefit being promoted and the society being made a progress.
