A Discussion on the Changes in the Party's Understanding of the Major Contradictions in the Socialist Society

正确认识社会主义社会的主要矛盾 ,是事关社会主义成败的关键问题 ,中国共产党对社会主义社会主要矛盾的认识 ,由开始的基本正确到后来的失误 ,再到最后的正确 ,经历了曲折的过程。导致党对国内主要矛盾认识失误的主要原因 ,是党对社会主义和社会主义建设规律认识不清。总结党对国内主要矛盾认识上的经验教训 ,有利于我们深化对江泽民“七一”讲话中提出的“三个规律”

Correctly understanding the major contradictions in the socialist society is a key issue that may lead to success or failure of socialism. The understanding of the contradictions by the CPC has undergone a zigzagged course: in the beginning a basically correct understanding, then a series of misplays, and finally a correct understanding. The reason leading to its misunderstanding is that the Party did not have a clear understanding of the law of socialism and the socialist construction. To sum up the lessons in this respect is helpful to our deeper understanding of the 'three laws' proposed by Jaing Zemin in his 'July 1' speech.
