摘要
针对大专院校非英语专业学生词汇量有限从而影响他们英语水平的提高这一情况,本文从英文报刊阅读的益处、选材及方法等三方面论述,并结合自己在教学中就此进行试验的结果,得出以英文报刊阅读带动学生其它英语应用能力的提高这一结论。
Non-English majors have limited vocabulary and their English can hardly be improved as a result.Analyzing from the advantages,choice of materials and methods of reading English newspapers and magazines,and combining with the experiments conducted by the author,this paper points out that reading English newspapers and magazines can result in the improvement of students' skills in using English.
