Interviews with Former Faculty Members and Students of the UN Training Program for Interpreters and Translators at Beijing Foreign Studies University

联合国译训班成立于1979年,是我国机构性翻译人才培养历史上的重要里程碑。在译训班成立40周年之际,我们对译训班成立之初的部分教员和学员进行了访谈。访谈内容涉及译训班成立的背景和前期准备工作、译训班成立后的首次招考情况、译训班的课程设置和培养模式、译训班师资和学员构成以及译训班为联合国中文译员培养及我国翻译教育事业作出的贡献等。

Established in 1979,the UN Training Program for Interpreters and Translators at Beijing Foreign Studies University is a milestone in the history of institutional training of interpreters and translators in P.R.China.To celebrate its 40th anniversary,we carried out a series of interviews with former faculty members and trainees of the Program,covering topics such as the preparatory work leading up to the founding of the Program,the first recruitment exam for the Program,the earliest training model and curriculum,as well as the contribution made by the Program to interpreter and translator training in China.
