The Influence of Cultural Context on the Readability of Figaro News Articles

本文首先梳理了制约外文新闻可读性的语言和非语言因素,随后以文化语境为切入点,以法国主流媒体《费加罗报》(网络版)的新闻为语料,从词汇和篇章两个层面分析了文化语境在词汇文化内涵、篇章衔接和连贯中扮演的重要角色;通过定性的研究方法,阐释了文化语境对中国读者正确理解外文报刊具有不可忽视的重要影响。

This paper first analyzes the linguistic and non-linguistic factors that restrict the readability of foreign news.We take the cultural context as the starting point,the news from French mainstream online newspaper lefigaro.fr as a corpus,and analyze from the lexical and discursive dimensions the important role of cultural context in the connotation of vocabulary and text cohesion and coherence.Through the qualitative research method,this paper explains that the cultural context has a significant influence on Chinese readers’correct understanding of foreign language newspapers.
