According to geologic characteristics of the sliding block on the right bank in Wenyu river reservoir the stability of this sliding block has been calculated under different situations, which provides reliable foundations for reinforcement treatment and engineering design. At last the conclusion is pointed out that this block has potential sliding condition and proper anti slide measures should be adopted.
