A Reflection on the Tradition and Modernity--A Review of At the Turning Point of History by Zhang Yongquan

鲁迅个人思想转折与中国社会历史转折的紧密联系使其内在的丰富性魅力无穷,尤其是鲁迅思想转变前后对西方文化的选择与吸收和对传统文化态度的历史性转变。张永泉还辟专章整理总结了鲁迅后期相对成熟的思想体系,以“韧性精神与悲凉情怀”强调鲁迅精神与人格的价值,同时对鲁迅思想中的不足与矛盾做了尝试批判。

The close connection of Lu Xun′s personal turning point of thought wi th the milestone of the whole Chinese history added to his greatness, especially by his choice and absorption of western culture and his attitude towards tradit ional culture. In a special chapter, Zhang Yongquan tidied up Lu Xun′s relative ly mature thought system, stressing Lu Xun′s spirit and personality with the sp irit of tenacity and desolating feelings.
