The Japanese are well-known as the nationals who always love to give gifts.Compared with the nationals of other countries,usually,the Japanese not only give gifts at the time of festivals,weddings and funerals,but also love to bring small gifts with them whenever they are invited as dinner gusts,because they would like to show their goodwill and to express their gratitude.Therefore,the study on the Japanese's behavior of exchanging gifts will help us understand the characteristics of Japanese interpersonal relationships and particular ways to maintain such interpersonal relationships.
