中南文化协会及其南洋研究

Chun Nan Culture Association and Its Nanyang Studies

中南文化协会系20世纪三十年代成立的从事南洋文化研究的专业学会。协会成立于暨南大学“驱郑风潮”之际,由南洋文化事业部离职学者发起和组织,以“宣扬中南文化及促进侨胞在南洋之地位”为宗旨,出版了会刊《中南文化》,刊载了不少海内外研究南洋问题的学术论文。协会的南洋研究主要表现在3个方面:研究南洋之现实情势,寻求应对解决之道;从事南洋史地考证,普及南洋科学文化知识;翻译海外南洋研究论著,介绍海外南洋研究资讯。

The Chun Nan Culture Association is a professional society engaged in the study of Nanyang culture founded in the 1930s.Founded in Jinan University on the occasion of“Driving Zheng Trend”,the association was sponsored and organized by the departing scholars of Nanyang Culture Affairs Department.With the aim of“publicizing the culture of Nanyang and promoting the status of overseas Chinese in Nanyang”,the association has published the journal“Chun Nan Culture”and delivered many academic papers on Nanyang issues at home and abroad.Their research on Nanyang was mainly manifested in three aspects:studying the realistic situation of the Nanyang and seeking corresponding solutions;conducting research on the history and geography of Nanyang and popularizing scientific and cultural knowledge of Nanyang;translating overseas research works on Nanyang and introducing Nanyang information on overseas research.
