In order to further improve the quality and efficiency of contemporary book editors,the impacts of the evolution of the times on the book publishing industry are summarized,such as diversification of text acquisition channels,fragmentation of readersz preferences,informationization of editors'topic selecting plan,initiative of editorsf marketing consciousness,and polarization of book publishing quality.The main dilemmasfaced by contemporary book editors are analyzed,such as the low level of book editing and proofreading,the lack of sense of responsibility,the limited ability to select topics,the backward marketing concept,and the loose management system.Countermeasures are put forward to solve the dilemmasfor book editors:to improve the level of book editing and proofreading,to enhance the sense of responsibility,to innovate the ways of topic selection,to change the marketingconcept,and to establish the management system.
