精神分析视角下《士兵之家》的人格结构分析

An Analysis of Personality Structure in Soldier’s Home from the Perspective of Psychoanalysis

《士兵之家》是海明威反映战争对人心灵影响的代表作品之一,本文采用弗洛伊德的精神分析批评方法,对主人公克莱勃斯的人物性格进行人格结构分析。研究发现,克莱勃斯出于本我本能虚荣、冷漠和对女性充满渴望,而超我所带来的道德羁绊和社会责任感又让他良心受到谴责,他的自我在调节本我和超我中失去了平衡,从而使本我、自我和超我处于矛盾状态。因此,克莱勃斯的人格发展受到了阻碍,性格开始变得扭曲,对生活失去信心和目标。

Soldier’s Home is one of Hemingway’s representative works reflecting the influence of war on the human mind.This research uses Freud’s psychoanalytic criticism approach to analyze the personality structure of the protagonist Krebs,and try to provide a new perspective on criticism.It is found that Krebs was instinctively vain,indifferent and full of sexual desire,but the morality and social responsibility brought by the superego had condemned his conscience.His ego had lost balance in the regulation of id and superego,and strongly suppressed his id,thus making the id,the ego and the superego in a state of contradiction.As a result,the development of Krebs’s personality had been hampered,and his character had begun to become distorted.He lost his confidence and goals in life all the time,and finally lived a poor life.
