清领台湾时期,清廷特别注重海疆的基础教育。作为一种公益性的启蒙教育机构,义学发挥着重要的普及儒家文化和民族融合的社会职能。从区域教育史的视角诠释清代台湾义学创办的状况、地域特点及其社会影响具有一定理论价值和现实意义。

During the Qing Dynasty,the government paid special attention on the basic education of Taiwan.As a public welfare educational institution,Taiwan's Charity School played an important social role of popularizing Confucian culture and promoting ethnic integration.It is of great value and significance both theoretically and practically to study its establishment experience,regional characteristics and social influence of Taiwan's Charity School during the Qing Dynasty from the view of the regional education history.
