Textual Research on the Place Names of the Persia Dudufu in the Tang Dynasty

中华书局点校本《旧唐书·地理志》误波斯都督府治所地名“疾陵城”为“陵城”,此乃因袭清武英殿本、惧盈斋本《旧唐书·地理志》之误。清罗士琳等《旧唐书校勘记》提出的所谓“疾陵城”与“陵城”之差异,亦乃参考清后期诸本误刊所得。

As for the records of the place names of the place where the Persia Dudufu was located in the early Tang Dynasty,there are two versions in the modern printed editions of the Old Tang Book,namely“Lingcheng”in Dili Zhi and“Jiling Cheng”in Xirong Liezhuan.Nowadays,the general literature and works are called“Jiling Cheng”.However,in the late Qing Dynasty,the place was named“Lingcheng”in various editions of Dili Zhi.Collation Records of the Old Tang Book of Luo Shilin in the Qing Dynasty illustrated the relevant differences.However,in 1975 Zhonghua Book Company’s Dili Zhi,it was still called“Lingcheng”and did not list and solve the collating problems raised by Luo Shilin.In this regard,using various methods of collating and analyzing the time relationship of document compilation,we can find out the records of the“Lingcheng”where the Persia Dudufu locating are errors because of printing in the late Qing Dynasty,which led Luo Shilin to propose this difference,and Zhong Hua Book Company’s Dili Zhi and so on also inherited this error of“Lengcheng”.
