Review and Prospect of Funeral Customs Research of Tangut in the Past 40 Years

四十年来,学界在西夏陵寝制度、丧葬制度、丧葬习俗和特点等方面取得了一系列研究成果,对从另一角度全面解读西夏历史文化的形成、影响要素及其历史地位产生了重要的促进作用。深入研究党项西夏多元丧葬文化形成、演变的机理,丧、葬、祭的要素和葬俗的影响因素,有助于从丧葬习俗角度揭示西夏历史文化是中华民族多元一体文明重要组成部分这一事实。

In the past 40 years,based on the archaeological discovery of Tangut tombs,some progress has been made in the study of the funeral customs in Tangut.The academia has made a series of research achievements in the aspects of the system of Tangut tombs and the characteristics of the funeral customs of Tangut.From another view,it plays an important role in promoting a comprehensive interpretation of the formation of Tangut history and culture,influencing factors and their historical status.In addition,by combing the relevant achievements,there are still great necessary and space for further study on the funeral customs of Tangut.We should explore clearly the mechanism of the formation and evolution of the multiple funeral culture of Tangut,as well as the elements of funeral,burying and sacrifice,and the influencing factors of the funeral customs.From the point of view on the funeral customs,it is revealed that the history and culture of Tangut is an important part of the Chinese nation’s pluralistic and intergrated civilization.
