大学新生手机依赖与自尊的交叉滞后分析及其性别效应

The relationship and gender effect between freshmen’s mobile phone dependence and self-esteem:A cross-lagged study

采用问卷调查法对浙江某高校302名大学新生进行为期一年的追踪研究,运用交叉滞后回归分析方法考察大学新生手机依赖与自尊的关系及其性别效应。结果发现:(1)两次测量中,女生的手机依赖分数均显著高于男生;(2)两次测量的手机依赖与自尊均为显著负相关;(3)交叉滞后回归分析表明,手机依赖是自尊的预测变量。进一步分析发现,大学新生的手机依赖与自尊之间的关系存在显著的性别效应。男生的手机依赖对自尊具有显著的负向预测作用,而女生的手机依赖与自尊之间的相互预测作用均不显著。

This study adopted longitudinal design to investigate the development of college freshmen’s mobile phone dependence and self-esteem,and used cross-lagged design to examine the causal relationship between mobile phone dependence and self-esteem and the gender effect.The results indicated that:(1)In the two waves of survey,female freshmen’mobile phone dependence were significantly higher than those of boys;(2)There were significant relationships among pre-test and post-test mobile phone dependence and self-esteem,which meant that the higher mobile phone dependence,the lower level of self-esteem;(3)Cross-lagged regression analysis indicated that mobile phone dependence caused college freshmen’s self-esteem.Further analysis showed the causal relationship between mobile phone dependence and self-esteem had significant gender effect.Male freshmen’s mobile phone dependence had significant negative prediction on self-esteem,but female freshmen’s prediction of mobile phone dependence on self-esteem was not significant.
