五四精神蕴含爱国主义精神价值内核,爱国是凝聚中国力量的精神源泉,进步是国家富强之梦的精神支撑,民主是人民幸福之梦的根本保障,科学是民族复兴之梦的强大动力。高校要强化爱国主义价值观的凝聚功能,增强侨生的国家认同,培养更多优秀的爱国侨生,不断壮大海外爱国力量。要将五四精神融于侨生爱国主义教育之中,增强侨生爱国主义教育的情感支撑,拓展实践维度,明确价值依归,凝聚侨心侨力共筑伟大中国梦。

The Spirit of May Fourth Movement contains rich patriotism. Patriotism is the source of spiritual strength that combines all forces in China;progressiveness is the source of spiritual support that upholds the dream of national prosperity;democracy is the fundamental guarantee for the people’s dream of happiness and science is the power that drives China’s great dream of national rejuvenation. Efforts must be made to strengthen patriotism among overseas Chinese students, enhance their national identity and expand overseas patriotic forces. It is important to cultivate the spirit of May Fourth Movement to inspire and strengthen overseas Chinese students’ patriotic feelings. It is also necessary to expand practical activities to define correct values and combine all overseas Chinese forces for the great Chinese Dream.
