Chance in Evolutionary Theory

Chance as a special concept in evolutionary theories have pluralistic theoretical connotations because of its contextual dependence.There have long been a lot of controversy around the definition of its concept and the distinctions in different contexts.Some scholars argue that we can solve the theoretical problems of chance by introduce the probabilistic explanations,but the probabilistic explanations are inadequate to explain the details of the evolutionary process that we should take chance seriously as it plays an important and realistic role in the evolutionary process.Then we can provide a better understanding of evolution process based on this view.
