“君子观”作为儒家学者心目中理想人格的一种典范,自孔子时代已延续至今。作为南宋初年杰出的理学家,胡宏对君子亦有自己独特的见解。在继承与发展孔子君子思想的基础上,胡宏将富有时代特色的理学观念注入其中,从而提供了一种更加符合当时理想人格的君子标准。他指出,君子须重视德孝而轻利、为人处世要谨言慎行、言行一致及由己及人的思想实为孔子君子观的延续;并将心性、仁义上升到道的层次,以作为理想君子的特质,在此基础上进一步提出的“居敬”和“致知”以成就君子之道的方法,是其理学思想对孔子君子观的发展。

Since Confucius era,gentleman has been a model of Confucian ideal personality.As the outstanding Neo-Confucianism scholar in the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty,his understanding of the gentleman also have their own unique opinions.On the basis of the inheritance and development of the Confucian gentleman's thoughts,neo-confucianism idea which is full of era characteristics is filled of it,so it offers a more accord with standard of the ideal personality of a gentleman.he points out the gentleman’s qualities which must attaches much importance to the virtue and filial piety,and should proceed with caution match words with deeds and by his own are the continuation of Confucius gentleman's outlook;On the other hand,it is the development of Confucianism's outlook of gentleman which elevates the benevolence and righteousness and mind to the tao,and endows it with the characteristics of a gentleman,further puts forward the methods of achieving the gentleman's way by“Ju-Jing”and“Zhi-Zhi”.
