Thieves in the Inland River Transport in the Ming Dynasty:River Thieves, Lake Thieves, Big River Thieves

中国自古以来就有用船进行运输和商业活动的历史。不仅商人将舟船作为水上运输的交通工具,一般民众在出行时船只也是不可或缺的交通工具。明朝时期也是一样,内陆的人们的出行和运送物资也需要利用河船,但是这些船舶在正常行驶时常常会遭遇出没于江河湖的盗贼的袭击。然而,以往的研究常常忽略了这些明代阻碍内陆河运的盗贼的存在,因此,本文主要针对明代活动于内陆江河湖的盗贼进行探讨研究。

China has a history of using ships for transportation and commercial activities since ancient times.Not only do merchants use the boat as a means of transportation for water transportation,but the general public is also an indispensable means of transportation when traveling.The same is true during the Ming Dynasty.Inland people also need to use river boats for their travel and transportation.However,these ships often encounter thieves who are in the rivers and lakes during normal driving.However,previous studies often overlooked the existence of these thieves who hindered inland river transport in the Ming Dynasty.Therefore,this paper mainly discusses the thieves who live in the inland rivers and lakes in the Ming Dynasty.
