李商隐寓桂时间不长,但在此期间所作的诗歌却颇有特点,在其总体诗歌创作中具有独特地位。这些诗或表现初到桂地的新鲜、喜悦、积极乐观心态,或表现独在异乡念远忆内之情,或写困顿仕途中的惆怅感伤,情感内涵相当丰富;情感的抒发也有特色:由轻快转入沉重;多借景以抒情、托物以寓怀;对照、象征手法运用出色。李商隐寓桂诗之所以形成这样的特色,与桂林独特的地理环境、诗人寓桂期间的动荡政局以及其身世经历和性格特点都有重要关系。

The poems written by Li Shangyin when he lived in Guilin for a short time have their unique position in his overall poetry creation life.These poems expressed the freshness,the joy,and the optimistic mentality when they first arrived in Guilin,or the sense of nostalgia in a foreign country,or the melancholy and sadness on his way to a difficult official career,and which are all with rich emotion?al connotations.Their expression also has its characteristics:the emotion switching from brisk to heavy;the analogy using the scenery to express feelings and the things to moods;the excellent use in contrast and symbolism.The reason that these poems formed such characteristics is closely related to Guilin's unique geographical environment,the turbulent political situation during his residence in Guilin,and his individual life experience and personality characteristics.
