With the development of medical treatment and the increasing of patients'expectation,aesthetic problems of anterior teeth have gradually entered the vision of dentists.The size,width/length ratio,shape classification and color of the crown of the upper anterior teeth are important factors affecting the aesthetics.Among them,shape classification is a problem that has puzzled researchers for many years.Over the years,people have studied the shape of the crown of the upper anterior teeth in depth,and proposed a variety of classification methods.This paper reviews the existing classification methods of upper anterior teeth in order to improve readers'understanding of relevant knowledge.
