In modern times, Holland has built special trade relationship with Japan, and the Dutch brought much merchandise into Japan. In terms of the textile raw material and the finished product, the raw silk is the largest commodity, but with the saturation of the Japanese silk market, the Dutch have to develop new commodity so that the semi-finished products or the finished products of the silk, the wool and the cotton fabric are brought into Japan. Although the quantity is not too large, the commodity type is enriched, the trade pressure is relieved, the Japanese economy has been stimulated, and cultural exchanges have been promoted.
