The Great Navigation Epoch is also an age of great geographical discovery.In the background of such a time,a wide range of trans-oceanic activities were launched in Europe,which led to many geographical breakthroughs.In addition,these ocean-going activities facilitated communication between the continents of the earth and resulted in the formation of numerous new trade routes.It was against this backdrop that the porcelain of Jingdezhen,bearing the mystery of the east,became one of the important commodities of Europeans,and entered the field of their vision.Starting from a survey in Macao,a transit point in the line of international trade,this paper discusses the important position of Jingdezhen porcelain in the cultural exchange between the east and the west.
