随着中国综合国力的增强和国际地位的提高,世界各国了解中国的愿望也日益强烈,中国需要通过推广汉语和中华文化来促进国际社会对中国的理解,提升中国的影响力,而这是构建中国文化软实力的重要内容。“汉语桥”世界大学生中文比赛是由国家汉办主办的大型国际汉语比赛项目,在世界范围内产生了深远影响,成为各国青年学生学习汉语、了解中国的重要窗口,并且成为各国爱好汉语言文化的青年学生心灵沟通之桥。汉语是世界上最古老、最优美的语言之一,是中华文化的重要象征符号,而作为最权威的汉语推广品牌之一,“汉语桥”世界大学生中文比赛无疑是构建中国文化软实力的重要方式。
