践行儒家理念 共同人类命运——论孔子学院国际汉语教师在美国大学执教的文化理念

Co-Constructing Community of Common Destiny by Practicing the Confucian Concepts:On the Cultural Concepts of Confucius Institute International Chinese Instructors Teaching in American Universities

面对美国社会对孔子学院的某些质疑和指控,在美孔子学院大学汉语教师既要注重汉语教学的有效性,更要重视中美文化沟通的合理性。儒家重要的文化理念,如“仁者爱人”“三人行,必有我师”“己所不欲,勿施于人”“穷则独善其身,达则兼济天下”等,在今天仍然对国际汉语教学具有重要的现实指导意义。美国孔院汉语教师秉持和践行这些文化理念,不仅能够在一定程度上减少美国社会对于孔子学院的抵制,促进中美文化的和谐共生,也是实现孔子学院持续健康发展的一条有效途径。

Facing the questions and accuses from the part of American society on the Confucius institute, American universities Chinese language instructors who are employed by the Confucius Institute should not only pay attention to the effectiveness of Chinese teaching, but also more emphasis on the rationality of the SINO-US cultural communication. Some important cultural concepts originated from the Confucian concepts, such as the benevolent man loves others. When I walk along with two others, they may serve me as my teachers. Not to do to others as you would not wish done to yourself. If poor, they attended to their own virtue in solitude;if advanced to dignity, they made the whole kingdom virtuous as well, etc still have important practical guiding significance in today. Confucius institute Chinese instructors should uphold and practice these cultural concepts, by doing so can reduce the resistance of some Americans to Confucius institutes and promote the harmonious co-existence of Chinese and American cultures. It also is an effective way to realize the sustainable and healthy development of Confucius institutes in the United States.
