This paper starts from the concepts,searches the foreign academic terms which are highly related to the study tour,and makes a comprehensive analysis of the research status of the study tour theory abroad."Experiential Education","Outdoor Education","Field Trip","Educational Tourism","Study Tourism"and"Learning Travel"are some of the most relevant foreign academic terms with study tour."Experiential Education","Outdoor Education"and"Field Trip"are more targeted at young children,teenagers,college students and other student groups.It focuses on the significance of education,discusses the implementation and results of education courses,and analyzes the problems and solutions faced in the implementation of this education method,so as to better achieve educational effects and promote the development of individual students."Educational Tourism","Study Tourism"and"Learning Travel"is more targeted at college students,workers,the elderly and other adult groups,focusing on the significance of tourism,to discuss the market segmentation of educational tourism activities and product designing,and to analyze the impact of this tourism mode on the development of economy,society and individuals.On the whole,foreign study tour projects are an important means to implement education and expand the development of tourism.China should pay attention to the following when promoting the development of study tour:Education should always be the primary purpose;Focusing on teacher training programs;Attaching importance to the development of educational tourism market.
