诸君燮即诸燮小考

A Textual Research about "Zhu Jun Xie" is Zhu Xie

汤显祖曾于一篇文章中提及明代时文大家“诸君燮”,徐朔方先生在笺校此文时并未明确指出此人是谁。现结合资料基本推断出,此人乃是明代嘉靖、隆庆年间,上承归有光、下启胡友信的时文大家余姚人诸燮。汤显祖以“君”名之,除为师长计外,亦与一个余姚后生诸大圭有关。

A famous eight-legged essay writer"Zhu Jun Xie"has been mentioned in an article of Tang Xianzu.However,Mr.Xu Shuofang,who has annotated the article,did not specify who the man is.By integrating relevant information,we can preliminary deduct the fact that the man is Zhu Xie,who was a great eight-legged essay writer together with Gui Youguang and Hu Youxin during the reign of Jiajing and Longqing Emperor in the Ming Dynasty.Tang Xianzu added"Jun(gentleman)"to address him in the article with the purpose of showing respect,and probably also due to his relationship with a young man who called Zhu Dagui.
