A Brief Investigation Report of Buddhism Beliefs of Jiangxi Rural Female

在信解、愿求、修行、证果四大方面,当下的江西农村女性佛教信仰个性,既有一般意义上的农村女性佛教信仰特征,更有基于其所在地域背景差异和农村女性性别身份标签视域下的江西地方信仰特色。其中,江西农村信仰文化原生态的多方保持,使之信解混同特征突出;至于愿求,则明显烙上了劳务输出大省的印痕,并在革命老区环境的熏陶下得以某种升华;而无论是受益于佛教活动场所的数量优势,还是无奈于教育素养低、视野与交际狭窄等不足,她们的修行总能应对得体,自在自适且中道圆融;其证果的功利性,则超出了一般程度,并呈现于如“集体无意识下的地缘认同式证果”等多种形态之中。

The four aspects of present Buddhism belief of JiangXi rural female-their faith and interpretation,their prayers,their self-cultivation,and the rewards of the various stages of attainment-have not only the common character of rural female Buddhism belief,but also their local colors originated from the regional disparity as well as gender identities.Among these four aspects,their faith and interpretation is a mixture of the rural people’s various religious beliefs that are perfectly preserved in different areas in Jiangxi;their prayers have significant regional features due to the fact that Jiang Xi province is a major exporter of labors,and are somehow sublimated due to the influence of the dedication spirit advocated in Jiangxi-an old revolutionary base;their self-cultivation are always in free and harmonious state,being able to cope with different situations,no matter the advantageous one such as the numerous places of worship,or the adverse one such as the poor education and narrow vision and communication they have;their rewards of the various stages of attainment is extraordinarily utilitarian in various forms,including“the region-identified one under social collective unconsciousness.
