摘要
孙奇逢的学术思想,向来众说纷纭,《理学宗传》可谓其晚年定论。该书本主辅内外之原则,对自董仲舒以迄周汝登等汉唐宋明之170位儒者,先作评传,次辑录其所著或语录,于眉端或段落中施批注,最后给出学行总评。从这些批注中,可以看出孙氏自身的学术立场,他试图通过“严辨儒释”实现归宗孔孟的学术志向。
SUN Qifeng's academic idea has always aroused controversies,and his The Biography of Neo-Confucianism can be regarded as the final conclusion of his later years.This book is based on the principle of both inside and outside.It reviews 170 Confucians from Han,Tang,Song and Ming Dynasties,such as DONG Zhongshu and ZHOU Rudeng,and then compiles their writings or quotations,makes annotations on them in the top margins or between the lines,and finally gives a general commentary on the academic circles.From these comments,people can see SUN's own academic standpoint:He tried to realize his academic aspiration of returning to Confucius and Mencius by"strictly discerning Confucianism and Buddhism".
