新生代火山岛弧型矿床是环太平洋成矿带的一个重要的矿床类型,主要有铜、铅、锌、金、银等多金属成矿。本文论述了印度尼西亚吉布吉斯(Cibugis)多金属矿的矿床地质及矿体特征,以该矿床为例,概略地阐述了新生代火山岛弧成矿的主要特点:即第三纪成矿、火山构造控矿、容矿构造巨大、成矿元素复杂、氧化深度变化大、采选工艺复杂。
