As an important means of the internationalization of the nation’s literature,translation is also a process of transplanting and transmission of cultures.Tess of the d’Urbervilles is one of the masterpieces of Thomas Hardy who was a brilliant realism writer in Victoria period.ZhangGuruo had been called“the professor of Thomas Hardy studies”whose translated version had received many great comments in other fields.The author is trying to explore the special identities and problems in the version translated by Zhang Guruo by the angles of domestication and foreignization,and their added questions about the translation strategies.
