本文探讨了早期动画和摄影与时间的博弈,并捕捉到了介乎于静止和运动中富有灵韵的瞬间。动画和摄影并非对立,而是通过技术创造出一种新颖的图像、时间和运动相关联的体验,动画通过运动揭示瞬间的动态本质,而摄影则通过静止反映其潜在可能性。作者指出,瞬间的产生来源于对时间的操纵,而时间增量的变化继而形成了图像的运动流。动画和摄影不是简单地设想为运动的再现,而是利用我们对运动的感知来产生瞬间的奇迹。
This article explode the game among animation, photography and time, which captures the animating instant between stillness and motion. Rather than opposed to each other, animation and photography both create a novel image and experience of time and movement through technology. Animation reveals the dynamic nature of the instant through motion, while photography reveals its potential through stillness. The author points out that simply conceived of as reproductions of motion, both instantaneous still photography and motion picture cinematography play with our perception of motion in order to produce the instant as a wonder.
