摘要
应用型大学英语课程设置不够完善,不能满足学生、社会和企业需求,且文化缺乏应有的重视。基于在校学生需求及在湘企业需求调查,可实施含通识英语模块、通用学术英语模块、技能英语模块、考试英语等模块在内的学分制立体化大学英语课程设置。在基础阶段和提高阶段完成,使之贯穿整个大学阶段,同时有必要引入专门用途英语,增强专业领域内的英语能力,并将含本区域文化在内的文化课程引入选修课体系,促“想学”更能促“学好”。
College English curriculum design in application-oriented colleges is far from perfect and the needs of students,society and enterprises fail to be satisfied.Besides,due attention to culture is missing.Based on the needs survey of students and enterprises in Hunan province,it is suggested to construct a multi-level curriculum,which is designed by credit and includes general English module,general academic English module,skills module,test English module etc..This curriculum is supposed to carry out throughout the college,to be more specific,required courses plus optional courses pattern will be implemented in the initial stage(semester1-4),while optional courses pattern only in the improvement stage(semester5-8).Besides,incorporating English for specific purpose into the curriculum design is needed,which could help enhance English ability in professional field.Culture courses including regional culture should also be introduced into the optional course system.In this way,the curriculum enables to promote students’interest to learn and to encourage them to learn well.
