电场频率对可双频驱动蓝相液晶温域及电光性能的影响 被引量:2

Influence of electric field frequency on the blue phase temperature range and electro-optical property of dual-frequency-driven blue phase liquid crystal materials

摘要 为了制备快速响应的蓝相(BP)液晶电光器件,并研究其在不同电场频率下的响应,本文首先合成了双频液晶分子(DFLC),将其加入蓝相母体液晶中,得到了可双频驱动的蓝相液晶(DF-BPLC)材料。利用偏光显微镜(POM)在不同频率的电场下观察其织构及相变行为,通过添加DFLC,可以调控BP温域。在低频电场下,由于电场取向作用及DFLC的弯曲结构和挠曲电效应可使得BP温域得到拓宽。但在高频电场下,BP温域有所减小。所制备DF-BPLC材料既具有频率响应特性又具有优异的电光性能,在光电器件中有很好的应用前景。 In order to obtain fast response electro-optic devices,a dual-frequency-driven blue phase liquid crystal(DF-BPLC)was obtained through preparing dual-frequency liquid crystal molecules and adding into a blue phase host.The texture and phase transition behavior of the DF-BPLC were observed by polarizing microscopy(POM)at different electric field frequencies,and it was found that it could have a great influence on the temperature range of blue phase(BP).Under low frequency electric field,the BP temperature range of DF-BPLC can be broadened under the effects of electric field orientation,bending structure and flexoelectricity of DFLC.The prepared DF-BPLC material exhibits not only frequency responsive characteristic,but also excellent electro-optic property,which may have great application prospects in optoelectronic devices.
