Research on application of investment equilibrium model in language learning

语言作为一种人力资本在当今社会生产中发挥着越来越重要的作用,劳动者对于语言技能的投资也不断地增加。文章在人力资本投资一般模型的基础上,研究语言投资的个人成本和收益的具体成分和变化情况,并解释语言学习投资额递增的原因。另外,根据语言学习与其他人力资本相比的特殊性,文章对一般模型的局限性做出了分析和改进。基于以上结论,政府应重视语言教育的发展,劳动者应自觉提高自身的语言掌握水平和技能。

As one kind of human capital,language plays an increasingly significant role in today’s social production,and the investment of laborers in language skills is rising up constantly.Based on the general model of human capital investment,this paper theoretically studies the specific components and recent changes of individual costs and benefits of language investment and explains the reasons for the increasing investment in language learning.Moreover,in view of the particularities of language learning,the limitations of the general model have been discussed and improved.Based on the analysis,the government is expected to pay attention to the development of language education and the laborers should consciously improve their language mastery and skills.
