Objective:To observe the correlation between the liver depression score,β-endorphine(β-EP)and RLS score in perimenopausal women with restless legs syndrome/periodic leg movement(RLS/PLM),and thus provides objective evidence for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods:Enrolling 37 perimenopausal female of RLS/PLM with liver-depression type and 30 with non-liver-depression type. The difference ofβ-EP and RLS scores were compared between the two groups, and the correlation betweenβ-EP,liver depression scores and RLS scores were analyzed. Results:Compared with non-liver-depression group,β-EP in liver-depression group was obviously reduced, while the RLS scores were obviously increased(P<0.05).Liver depression score was negatively correlated withβ-EP(P<0.05),and positively correlated with RLS score(P<0.05).β-EP was negatively correlated with RLS score(P<0.05).Conclusion:The level of serumβ-EP can provide objective basis for diagnosing the severity of liver depression in perimenopausal women with RLS/PLM.It may relieve the attack of RLS/PLM by soothing liver to relieve Qi stagnation.
