Professor Li Jing-xiao believes that deficiency of heart-qi is the internal cause and the initial factor of palpitation.Liver depression and blood deficiency,heart-kidney disharmony,heart-yang depression,heart-gallbladder-qi deficiency,and spleen-stomach disharmony are the common causes.Professor Li treats palpitation mainly by nourishing qi and heart,tonifying liver and kidney.He is good at treating palpitation with heart as the basis,beginning from liver and kidney,protecting stomach qi,an regulating yin and yang.He self-made Zhenpu Ningxin Decoction(ZPNXD) to nourish the heart,warm the kidney,soothe the liver,stabilize palpitation,promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis,and invigorate spleen and regulates qi simultaneously,which provides more guidance thought of treating palpitation.Professor Li emphasizes that the clinical treatment should not be limited to the common syndromes,but should be based on comprehensive analysis of four examination,eight-principle syndrome differentiation,and one formula for each patient.
