Colored glaze technology has a long history in China. In ancient times, colored glaze was popular and loved because of its special aesthetic function. With the changes of times, the development of modern colored glaze shows a declining trend, which affects the inheritance of colored glaze technology. Through sorting out the development of colored glaze technology, this paper analyzes the reasons for the decline of colored glaze technology, and probes into the inheritance strategy of colored glaze technology. Qinhuangdao, as the "city of glass", is shouldering the important task of inheriting coloured glaze technology in the new era.
